Our Offering

For the past 50 years, NIRAS has been committed to protecting and promoting the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems. We have implemented over 500 projects focused on forests, land use planning, biodiversity monitoring, and rural development.

We view people as a central element of landscapes, and we design and implement forestry and natural resource management programmes to ensure that ecosystems are productive for future generations. Our services balance environmental, social, and economic benefits. We are experts in participatory integrated landscape management approaches engaging stakeholders to realise climate, biodiversity and livelihood goals.

The services we offer span the forestry, land management, biodiversity conservation and GIS and remote sensing sectors.

Our in-house team comprises more than 30 specialists in the forestry, land and biodiversity sector located across our offices and hubs in Africa, Asia, Europe and South America. We have a wider network of over 5,000 natural resource management specialists, giving us
